SNAP Eligibility for Students
Students attending institutions of higher education at least halftime (6 credits per semester for most programs at Pace) may be eligible SNAP if they meet certain requirements, referred to as 鈥渆xemptions鈥 along with general SNAP income and eligibility rules.
Please note, SNAP considers applicants as 鈥渓iving in an institution鈥 if they receive 50 percent or more of their meals from a college meal plan, and these individuals are not eligible for SNAP. Residential students may qualify for food assistance from other agencies, such as the food bank of NYC.
